Java Monster Irish Blend
This is my 3rd of the newest Java monster flavors and I’m taking a break from these after this one. Don’t get me wrong but I’ve had all the creamy energy drinks I can take for a while.
Packaging: Like the Russian and the Chai Hai it is the typical 16oz Monster energy drink can. This one is more similar to the Java Monster Russian however. It breaks from the wood grain background in favor of a green granite type rock pattern. I like the background better than the wood grain. You have the Monster M in the middle with coffee + energy at the bottom and iris Blend printed around the top. Then it breaks the mold with some cool Irish/Celtic type patterns as well as some great Celtic type symbols on both sides of the can. I don’t know the names for all the different symbols but they are easily recognizable as Irish. They nailed this one and it is almost as good ad the Java Russian can. I’ll Give it a B+ for design. Great can that lets you know what to expect.
Slogans: Well it just has the Coffee+Energy as usual and then it has a very similar paragraph on the back of the can. It is almost identical to the one on the Russian Java Monster. I’ll give them a D for slogan. Nothing new, catchy or exciting.
Taste ect: Now I have had Irish Coffee, b52 shots ect made with Baileys Irish cream so I expect it to taste like an irish coffee with out the Irish whiskey. It comes out a medium dark brown. It’s not lumpy like some of the other Java monsters and it smells easily like Irish cream and Coffee. I take a sip and it is delicious. I can actually taste the coffee in this one! It is less sweet and less creamy. I have to say this is my favorite so far of the new flavors. I will give it a solid B+
Kick/Ingredients: The ingredients are water, Reduced fat milk, sucrose, glucose, taurine(2000mg),and coffee and the usual Monster energy blend of L-carnitine, caffeine(160mg), guarana, glucose, inositol, maltodextrin, and glucuronalactone. There are plenty of B vitamins as well as some vitamin C, A, D, and calcium. The kick was good and lasted several hours. The drink has 200 calories per can and 3 grams of fat.
I will give it a grade of B for Kick. No different than other monster drinks.
Web presence: So there is still not really any info on these new java drink(except here at edjunkie! monsterenergy.com of course and Google has tons of hits for monster drinks. Lucky for you I’m getting this info out there. I’ll give them a grade of D for web presence. Like I said before it would be an F but I figure in the future they might get more information up.

Wow I really enjoyed this one since it was more coffee like and not as thick and creamy. I probably won’t be drinking on a regular basis because if I want a coffee (even a foo foo coffee drink) I’ll stick to Starbucks or some other coffee place.
