I'm way too busy powertripping
But I'm gonna shed you some light
Powertrip Coconut

You know as a guy who tries a lot of different energy drinks and shots it gets kind of tiring sometimes. I mean you get the same flavors over and over in so many drinks. It is always exciting to find one that really stands alone in its uniqueness. I have to say this is the only Coconut flavored drink or shot I have ever seen. I am excited to be trying this drink just for the taste. I also have high hopes it will deliver energy wise.
Packaging: They really did a great job with their newest can design. The color is bright, sunny, and refreshing looking. The coconut graphic makes it easily identifiable as tropical type flavor. The name “Power Trip” then is added in an aggressive ragged font that seems to be bursting out of the green and yellow background. The entire label is on the can twice and the caffeine content is clearly listed on the side. Grade B+
Slogan: I guess “Vitamin Powered” is as good as it gets on the can. So I guess that is ok. Not really catchy though but it will draw customers in. Grade C
Taste: Ok so I pop the top and I’m greeted with a scent that reminds me of a tropical island vacation and the song Escape (The Piña Colada Song) jumped into my mind. It has a really nice coconut smell that is very pleasant and mouthwatering. I pour some in a glass and it comes out and almost clear liquid with a medium to heavy carbonation. The color reminds me of actual coconut water. Taking a sip it has a really nice sweet coconut flavor with some hints of pineapple. I think the coconut is pretty much dominant here though. It also has a bit of creaminess to it that works very well with the coconut. This is a very sweet drink. If you like coconut you will love this drink. If you don’t like coconut well why would you even try it? I like it quite a bit and give it a B
Kick/Ingredients: Ok so this was any easy drink to finish. It was gone before I knew it. I just came off of night shifts and had only a couple of hours sleep so I could get turned back around to sleeping at night. 2 hours sleep left me more than tired. After I finished the drink though by sleepiness was quickly smacked down. I got a really nice potent buzz with some jitters like you expect for a full sugar energy drink. I was filled with a ton of energy and was able to get some computer work done and then do a run and still I was going full on. There was a minor crash after 4 hours but nothing epic. Powertrip Coconut gave me a much better buzz than I expected. So what powers this tropical powerhouse? 210 mg caffeine, 2000 mg Taurine, 46mg Guarana, Inositol, Glucuronolactone, some B vitamins and a good dose of Vitamin C. You have 220 calories, 60 grams of carbs, and 58 grams of carbs. It is sweetened with HFC and Glucose. Keep in mind the ingredients and calories listed are per can not per serving. Grade B+ for kick.
Web Presence: powertripbev.com is a pretty nice site. They pretty much have all the bases covered with plenty of info, a store, sports, events, and more. This site has the look and feel of the big boys in the market. Check it out. It is top shelf in my book with a nice easy flow. Grade B

Power trip seems to have some great management behind the product and this has resulted in a quality product that is ready to take on the big boys. Get you some!
