Provita Protein Energy

Ok so I started going to the gym a few weeks ago instead of my usual bike riding. This was not new for me as there was a time I lifted weights 5 to 6 days a week years ago. 1 thing I like is that this will allow me to better review a lot of the energy products aimed at the gym. One of the newest ones I came across is this Provita. Somehow they jammed 42 grams of protein into a 2.9 oz energy shot. Heck most full size protein drinks don’t have this much protein. Let’s see what it is all about
Packaging: They start of with a 2.9 oz shiny black shot bottle. This is similar to some of the shots from Monster and Rockstar shots as far as being tall and black instead of the typical 2 oz white plastic bottle. The bottle has a nice wrap on it with pertinent info all on the front. Energy in big letter, 42 g protein, in big letters, and 6 hour are all there to see easily. Somehow it all fits nicely and does not look cluttered. Good job in letting people know what this product is in one quick glance. Grade B
Slogans: Closest I could find was” It’s the energy you want combined with the nutrition that you need” Not a lot of fun and I had to dig some but still pretty good. Grade C+
Taste ect: Ok so I am a bit scared. I mean how do you get that much protein in a shot? I open the lid and take a whiff. It smells like protein, vitamin ,and cherries. I pour some in a shot glass and it comes out a very thick red liquid. I drink down half the bottle and it taste like sour cherries and protein. It’s not bitter and the finish is very tart. I’m not going to say it is delicious but I am surprised it tastes as good as it does. I have had much worse shots that were not packed with all this stuff in them. You might want to wash it down with a swallow of water just because it is so thick but not because it taste bad. I think they did the best they could with all the protein, energy ingredients, and vitamins. It taste better than most protein bars I have tried also. Grade C for taste
Kick/Ingredients: So I drank the shot 30 minutes before I would get to the gym. I was just getting off of work and figured the energy would last me a couple of hours and get me through my workout. I was wrong. This shot delivered a good 5 hours of strong energy. I drove to the gym (wired), worked out with a lot of energy, then I did some yard work followed by picking up around the house. This was a really good buzz that was easily above your average shot. I was not jittery but it was an intense buzz that stayed intense until the end. There was no crash. Don’t drink this if you plan on going to bed soon. This shot is powered by Caffeine(undisclosed but I think around 150 to 200 mg), Taurine, a big dose of B vitamins and also A, C, E, D, and a bunch of minerals. Then there is is the 42 grams of protein. This all comes with 170 calores and no fat, carbs, or sugar. It is sweetened with Sucralose and Ace K. 1 thing that baffles me is that they list L-Tryptophan in the ingredients list which is not something usually in energy products. I give it a grade of B+ for kick/ingredients. Good energy and nutrition
Web presence: The site at provitaenergy.com is a pretty decent site. It has some got products info, a store, and a Faq. Nothing super fancy but informative and easy to navigate. Grade B
Recap:
Ok so I am really impressed with this shot all around. It has a good strong kick that last, taste ok, provides a lot of nutrients, and delivers a ton of protein. I like that you don’t have to consume a large drink like you usually do with protein drinks. It also requires no refrigeration until you open it with is another reason it is better than your average protein drink. I also like that it is sugar and carb free. I can say I think you should give this shot a try. They also have protein shots for relaxing and slimming as well as one that is just for protein alone. I think this is a ground breaking product that deserves some attention. Try it and let me know what you think.
