Rage Inferno
So I love a unique package. I mean in the crowded energy drink and shot market you need something to grab the consumers attention. When I saw this new drink from Rage I knew they definitely have this area covered. So let’s see if what is inside is as cool as the packaging.
Packaging: Well what can you say? It is a red plastic bottle shaped like a fire extinguisher. It has a cool cap that looks like the trigger for a fire extinguisher. I think the yellow label is a lot of fun as well as a nice contrast. It is campy but I think all of the little images would have been more fun though if they related to drinking energy drinks as opposed to being real fire extinguisher related. Over all this is a damn fun package that grabs everyone’s attention. It is a quality job as well. Grade A
Slogan: “Follow No rules” is their slogan for all their drink . I wish they had a better one just for this drink though. It has some good possibilities. Grade C
Taste: I twist off the cool lid (no you can’t spray it like a real extinguisher) and pour some in a cup. It is a light red color with a very light carbonation. The scent of it is all fruit punch. I take a sip and it is a very sweet fruit punch. The fruit punch is mostly cherry with a little fruit punch at the finish. I’d call it cherry fruit punch. There is no bitterness or after taste. it is super sweet and sugary. Not a bad flavor as long as you like cherry. Grade B-
Kick/Ingredients: Ok so with its low carbonation I chugged it down pretty quick. It’s 24 oz so that is a lot. It hit me pretty good with a full on jittery super caffeine and sugar buzz. It’s pretty over the top so I would suggest drinking only half unless you want to be spazzing out. I had a big buzz for a good 4 hour hours before crashing like someone slipped me a roofie. Not Rages fault here it is just what you get with a big caffeine and sugar buzz. The inferno in this rage comes from Caffeine 375 mg, Taurine 3000 mg, Glucuronolactone 300 mg, and a fair amount of B vitamins. I don’t know the calories and such since this drink is from Canada but it is sweetened with sugar. Grade B
Web Presence: Don’t know what happened to the site at rageliquidenergy.com but it is now a single page with images and stores listed that only links to their Facebook. Grade D

So this was a pretty strong kick in a really cool and unique package. I liked the flavor but it was a little too sweet I think. The ingredients profile is a bit different from their other drinks as well. I will say if you are a big fan of sugar and caffeine fueled mayhem then this is for sure a drink you need to seek out. Rage is a cool company so even if you don’t love this flavor they offer a ton of others.
