Rage Ripped

Man I had a great day. I awoke to find a box on my porch from Thirstmonger.com. I knew it contained a bunch of Rage Energy drinks. It was a mixed box so I knew there were several flavors I had never tried. Being here in the USA Rage is hard to come by. Rage makes some good drinks so I am looking forward to reviewing all of them. I am reviewing the sugar free version first.
Packaging: Ok first off Rage Ripped comes in a really cool and aggressive 16 oz blue can. It’s light blue which does take a little of the aggressiveness away but the fonts and the chain in the background make up for that some. I do like how the letter I in Ripped is a little dumbbell. Nice detail. Grade B
Slogan: “Follow No rules” is their slogan and it is a good one for a drink like this. They are trying to be aggressive and this slogan fits right in. I wish they would have used a more drink specific slogan but still this one is not bad. Grade C
Taste: I pop the top and I get a nice raspberry scent. Pouring some in a cup it surprisingly comes out a dark purple. I take a sip and it is a nice blue raspberry with some hints of blueberry in there as well. It is not as sweet as some artificially sweetened drinks and is pretty chuggable due to its very low carbonation level. I find it to have no bitterness or bad after taste. Overall not a bad sugar free drink. Grade B-
Kick/Ingredients: So I drank it down and it hit me in the usual amount of time. I got a nice smooth burst of energy. I would not say I was filled with rage necessarily but I was fairly angry. I was surprised at the smoothness of this buzz. I had a lot of energy and really got my work done. I would say this was on par with your typical Monster low carb. It lasted me a good 4 hours with no crash at the end. So rage has quite a line up of ingredients including 160 mg caffeine, 400 mg Guarana(providing 40 mg more of caffeine), Taurine, Ginseng, Glucuronolactone, A heavy dose of b vitamins, and 50 mg of Creatine. I am not sure if there are any calories or carbs since it is not listed but I am sure they are negligible if there are any. It is sweetened with sucralose and Ace k. Grade B- for kick/ingredients
Web Presence: The website at rageliquidenergy.com is a lot of fun to look at. It might not have a ton of product ingredient info but it has a store, a comparison, a locator, and some multimedia content. They also have a Facebook. Check it out. Grade C+
Recap:
Ok so Raged Ripped is pretty good for a sugar free drink. It might not be my favorite but it provides a potent kick with no sugar. It has a pretty good taste and with its creatine and low carbonation I think it would make a great drink for before or after the gym. I know Canada sometimes gets joked about but for sure one thing they have going for them is the line of Raged drinks. If you can get your hands on some I say give it a try.
