Revive mints

You know of all the alternative energy products out there I think I like the energy mints the most. The mint flavoring can unusually cover up larger amounts of caffeine than other products like gum and candy. Here we have the next level in energy mints. Revive make a healthy and strong energy mint. They have added some antioxidant and some vitamin C. Let’s check these out

Packaging: Well there are several options out there. You can get them in a 2 piece blister pack, 2 in a little pouch or like the one pictured an 8 mint blister pack.  I like the way the Revive logo/name stands out on the blue background. The front has plenty of info without being cluttered and the little window allows you to see one of the mints. No it’s not fun or exciting but it all works well for this product. Grade B

Slogan:  “The Ultimate healthy energy boost” is on their website and it is not bad. Little long but still not a bad job. Grade C

Taste:  So with all the fruit listed on fruit I wondered how this mint would taste. There was a nice mint smell when you pop one out of the blister pack. The taste is close to a wintergreen mint. It might be a stronger mint but it is nowhere near Altoids strong. There is no fruit taste at all. There is also no bitterness from the caffeine and other energy ingredients. They use microencapsulated caffeine so that keeps the bitterness away. Like most energy mints the consistency is a little gritty as it dissolves but that is no big deal. I’ll give them a grade of B for taste.

Kick/ingredients.  So I tried these mints on many occasions and they came through well in all of them.  It takes only a few minutes since some of the caffeine is absorbed in the mouth. These get you alert quickly. I got a nice midlevel boost that lasted a good 3 or 4 hours from these mints. I even tried them on my drive to the gym one day and I really felt they got me off to a great start on my workout.  Each mint is powered by 100 mg caffeine, Ginseng, Guarana, and green tea. You also have botanical extracts of Acai berry, Mangosteen fruit, and Goji berry. Lastly you get 10% dv of Vitamin C. It all comes with only 4 calories no sugar and only 1.5 grams of carbs. They are sweetened with Sucralose, Ace K, and aspartame. So what you have is a fast acting smooth energy boost with no crash and some antioxidants. Grade C+

Web presence:  The official website is at ryloproducts.com and it is pretty good. It is professional and easy to use. It’s not a fun site or anything but it is informative and it has a store so you can order. They have a Facebook and a Twitter as well.  You can also order from my friends at kingofcaffeine.com if you just want to try a small pack. Grade B for web presence
Recap:

So basically what you have is a typical energy drink in a mint. Then again it is so much more. Portable and requires no refrigeration, freshens your breath, delivers some healthy antioxidants, and it acts quickly to get you alert. I can see these being handy in school, at work, on the road, and dozens of other times when an energy drink just would not be convenient.   Keep a pack in your purse, man bag, backpack, briefcase, ect. Check them out and let me know what you think.
