Rip It Sugar free G-Force

Ok so I have long been a fan or Rip it drinks. Their can drinks are inexpensive but they usually deliver taste and buzz that is on par with the big boys of the energy drink world. They have some new flavors out am I am very happy they now have released sugar free versions of them. Let’s check out the first one.

Packaging: I have always liked the design of Rip it drinks and they keep this one the same. 16 oz can. It’s silver mostly which represents the fact it is the sugar free version. I like the X graphic and the logo. I also enjoy the fun way they name their drinks. The only drawback is the $1.09 ring around the top. I know it is good to point out the value here but it does take away some as to the overall design.  Minor gripe though. Grade B

Slogan: “Real Energy for Real People at a Real Value” is on their website. I like but it is a little long. I think it would be better if they dropped the real people part. Still I like the overall idea. Grade B-

Taste: Ok so I pop the top and I am greeted with a really nice grape soda scent. Pouring some in a cup it comes out a dark purple with a medium carbonation level. I take a sip and it has a real nice bold grape candy taste. It is not cloyingly sweet like some grape sodas can be. The level of sweetness work well with the grape instead of overpowering it. It does have a little artificial sweetener taste to it but you gotta have that if you’re making a sugar free drink. There is no bitterness or medicinal after taste. Good job! There are not a lot of options out there for sugar free grape drinks and this one should be on the top of that short list. Grade B+

Kick/Ingredients: So I drank this one down and it really hit me hard in about 15 minutes.  The kick was surprisingly strong and somewhat jittery. I hardly ever get any jitters from a sugar free drink. I had a ton of energy and really had a hard time being still. This stuff really got me going and I was flying all over the place and possibly might have broke the speed of sound. I had a strong buzz for a good 4 hours with little crash at the end. I am impressed. Each can of Rip it G-Force contains 178 mg Caffeine, 2020 mg Taurine, Ginseng, 200 mg Inositol, 6 mg Guarana, a fair dose of B vitamins, and some vitamin C to top it all off. It comes with no calories, carbs, or sugar. Grade B for kick/ingredients

Web Presence: The site at ripitenergy.com is actually much improved from the last time I checked it. It is well laid out and has some good ingredients info. There are sections, for Team Rip it, Wild Ride Tour, a store locator, and more. It is worth checking out. Not a ton of content for fun but solid product info. They also have a Facebook. Grade B

Recap:

Ok for a sugar free drink this was damn impressive. It had a great flavor for a sugar free grape, came in a nice can, and delivered a really good kick. I’d say this is the total package when it comes to value. So if you get a chance look this one up and buy you a few cans. It’s not going to cost you a lot and I am sure you will be back for more once you experience how good it is.
