Rockstar Energy Cola
Ok so this is one of the drinks I wanted to try for so long. Back in the day there was a Rockstar cola. Then when Rockstar hooked up with Coke for distribution they had to cut a deal to drop the cola (I guess so as not to compete). Now that Rockstar is with Pepsi that yoke is off of them and they are back with a new cola. I never got to try the original but I am not missing out on trying this one. Cola is a hard one to pull off with most people falling into either Coke or Pepsi lovers. (Now if someone has an old can of Rockstar 21 lying around that they want to send me my life would be complete)
Packaging: Like the Rockstar Recovery Rockstar energy cola is leaps and bounds above the other Rockstar cans. From the black matte finish to the solid shiny black top this is one awesome can. I love the shiny logo and lettering against the matte finish. Someone in design at Rockstar deserves a raise. I feel like I am gushing but really this is one awesome classy design. Grade A
Slogans: I actually found “Party Like A Rockstar” Right on the can. Heck everyone loves to party like a rock star right. It is a classic slogan and one of the best out there. Grade B+
Taste ect: Ok so I pot the top get a really nice plesant cola scent. Pouring some in a cup it comes out a dark black/brown color. Darker than you average cola. It has a nice mid/low level of carbonation. Taking a sip of it ice cold it is really refreshing and crisp. It is more similar to a Pepsi than a Coke in flavor. It is smoother and sweeter without the cola bite that coke has and less carbonation that a coke. If you are a Pepsi drinker you will love this I think. I Like Coke better myself but still fount this pretty enjoyable. Don’t let it set too long though. It is best served fresh and ice cold. Grade B
Kick/Ingredients: So after drinking this can I got a pretty decent buzz. Nothing over the top but I was plenty alert and had a small bit of jitters. I was pretty productive and my over all mood was good. There was little to no crash after about 4 hours of energy. I don’t think it would have helped me party like a Rockstar unless you consider Taylor Swift to be a Rockstar. Ok so this has the standard Rockstar formula consisting pre can of 160 mg of caffeine, 2000 mg Taurine, 50 mg Guarana seed extract, 50 mg L-Carnitine, 50mg Inositol,50 mg of Ginseng, 40 mg of milk thistle extract, and a good dose of B vitamins. You get all that with 260 calories and 66 grams of sugars and carbs. It is sweetened with Sucrose and Glucose. Grade C+ for kick/ingredients
Web presence: Once again I say go to rockstar69.com. Rockstar has multiple website for different countries, different Rockstar sports like surfing and mountain biking. They also have twitter, Myspace and Facebook covered. All of their websites are top notch and filled with hours of entertainment. As I have said before Rockstar is the king when it comes to web presence. I don’t know how much they spend on maintaining their web presence but I am sure it is a lot. Visit and you will see what I mean. Grade A+

I am glad I found this drink. It is one of the best cola flavored energy drinks I have tried as far as taste goes and it comes in a super slick cool can that you will be proud to be seen with(unless you’re gay which means you never want to be seen drinking Rockstar). It is just above average as far as kick goes though. You won’t be partying like Nikki Sixx and William Shatner or Lindsey Lohan on this but maybe it is enough to get you partying like Maroon 5 and Coldplay. Still if you like a kicked up Pepsi I say grab one of these. I’m sure I’ll drink another.
