Ice Ice Baby
Starbucks Doubleshot Energy+Coffee Vanilla flavor

Time to try the second flavor of Starbucks Energy+coffee. I had to fight off my wife just to drink this one. I could say more but come on Starbucks does not need much of an introduction.
Packaging: Starbucks comes out in a 15oz aluminum can. The Vanilla can is a cream color with some darker brown streaks. You have a silver ring around the top with the flavor as well as some key ingredients listed in it. Lower down you have the familiar Starbucks logo, the name, 2 stars, and another listing of the key ingredients. I like how the can matches the flavor. It’s not exciting but it is classy and should appeal to Starbucks fans. I will give it a grade of B- for packaging.
Slogans: Two on the can “Your extra shot” and “Are you ready for more?” Not bad and I appreciate the effort. I like both of them. I will give them a B for slogan
Taste ect: Well it is hot here and I’m not always up for a hot cup of joe when I wake up. I grabbed this can to start my day cool. It comes out of the can a light tan cream color. Not as dark as the mocha version. I get a hint of vanilla smell and just a little bit of coffee smell. I did not notice any vitamin type smell at all. I take a sip and it is a light vanilla flavor. I was expecting a super sweet vanilla but it was not that sweet. There is some coffee at the finish. If you’re expecting a Frappuccino your in for a surprise. This is more like a real coffee with some vanilla and cream. Not overly creamy or sweet. Whilse not as good as the Mocha I will give it a grade of B+. This is the best vanilla coffee energy drink I have tried.
Kick/Ingredients: Ok on the Mocha review I did I was in the dark a bit on the caffeine content. Now I know the actual amount. After I finished the entire can I was instantly awake and super energized. I was a little jittery at first but that smoothed out and the buzz lasted at least 3 or 4 hours. You have 146 mg of caffeine then you have 2000 mg of maltodextrin, 1800 mg of Taurine, 450 mg of L-Carnatine, 180 mg of Inositol, 325 mg of Panax Ginseng, 90 mg of Guarana, and some B vitamins. You have 210 calories, 2.5 grams of fat, 34 grams of carbs, 25 grams of sugar and 12 grams of Protein. Main ingredients are coffee, reduced fat milk ,Skim Milk, and sugar. I will give them a B+ for kick/ingredients. Even now that I know there is not as much caffeine as I thought I am still impressed.
Web presence: Well you still have starbucks.com but you will find any info there about these new drinks. Wow the new site at starbuckscoffeeonthego.com has gone live and is a really top notch site. It has all the information you need on the coffee+energy drinks as well as Frappuccinos and doubleshot drinks. It’s a really cool flash design with a chalkboard theme that is fun to see. I will give them a grade of A- for web presence. It’s not exciting but it is fun and well designed.
Recap:
Once again Starbucks has shown why they are a leader. They are just not a brand that relies on their big time name. They put out a quality coffee + Energy drink that pretty much leaves all the others in the dust.
