Soul Food?

Steaz Energy Organic Fuel Berry flavor

So here is another healthy energy drink for the New Year. Steaz is not only organic but is socially conscious. This is the only Fair Trade certified energy drink I know of.

Packaging: Steaz comes in a tall slim 12oz green can. It has Steaz in a red oval with Energy in big white text below. There is a USDA Organic logo as well as a Fair Trade certified logo on the front. On the back there are several other certification logos like certified vegan ect.  There is also a image of some people harvesting something on the back along with a long spiel about there social consciousness and natural qualities.  They definitely let you know this is a super natural wholesome product.  I will give them grade of C for the can. Nothing to get excited over but it is informative.

Slogans:  For the mind, body and soul. That is a heavy slogan. Good for the soul!  I don’t think there is another energy drink that is good for your soul. I will give them a grade of B for this slogan. They put some thought into it and it stands out.

Taste ect:  Organic does not usually make me think” wow this is going to taste great” but it actually does to me. I like unsweetened ice tea. Steaz taste like tea that is lightly sweetened. The cane juice is a much better sweetener in this drink than in  some other drinks I have had. It says it is lightly carbonated but I would say it is a medium carbonation. It starts out a little bitter with the tea taste but smoothes out and is actually quite refreshing as you continue to drink it. I drank it pretty quickly. I will give them a C+ for taste

Kick/Ingredients: I’m not expecting a strong kick but it got me going and made me concentrate better through a sleepy morning. It has 80 mg of natural caffeine and I cruised along for a few hours nicely. Sparkling filtered water, organic evaporated cane juice, Sambazon organic acai juice, organic guarana, guayaki yerba mate, and green tea. Top shelf ingredients for sure. I will give them a grade of B- for kick. Would have been a C except they get points for the ingredients

Web presence:  Steaz has a site at steazenergy.com/ that is nicely done and pleasant to look at and navigate. You have all the info you need about the drink including ingredients, a faq, contact info, a links page, and the companies mission. Nice site. Not exciting but nice. I give it a grade of C

Recap:

If you like green tea and want to feel good about drinking an energy drink I say go with this Steaz berry energy drink. It is not as tasty as Syzmo organic drinks but it is good for your soul!
