I've got a tiger by the tail it's plain to see

Tiger Fuel

Ok so here we have our second energy drink from Collegiate Beverage co. We have tried Cocktane which was a good drink. The same company makes Tiger Fuel so I have high hopes for it. Let’s see if this one is as good or better even.

Packaging: It comes in a nicely printed 12 oz can. The graphics and overall design really come on strong with a nice collegiate look to it. You the colors orange and purple which are easily recognizable if you are from SC. At the top is a roaring tiger with some really dangerous looking claws. I like the aggressive look of the tiger. The back label clearly list the ingredients including caffeine content. Nice job here. Grade B

Slogan: “Rock ‘n Roar” is on the can and I am sorry to say I don’t like it a lot. It is an ok play on words but it just seems a tad cheesy and not aggressive enough for the can design. It’s not bad but then it is not great either. Grade C

Taste: So popping the top I get a really nice orange soda scent. Pouring some in a glass it comes out a bright orange color with a heavy carbonation. I take a sip and it is easy to sum up. The taste is that of a really nice orange soda. This taste nothing like an energy drink and in fact I think it could hold it’s on against the likes of Orange Crush or Sunkist. You like orange soda then this is a drink you have to try. There is no bitterness or after taste, just real sugar delicious orange soda. I had a few of these and they went quickly. Grade B+ for taste.

Kick/Ingredients: This drink was so tasty I could not help but chug it down. If you are thirsty then this is very refreshing. It took only 15 minutes and then I was good and awake. I had a nice mid level buzz with no jitters. Not super strong but just right for the afternoon. Heck if you want a big buzz drink 2 which is no problem since you will want to because they taste so good. I had this nice buzz from one can for a good 3 to 4 hours with minimal crash at the end. Each 12oz can is powered by 100mg caffeine, 1000 mg Taurine, 30 mg Ginseng, 30 mg Guarana, 50 mg Inositol,  500 mg Glucuronolactone, and good doses of B vitamins including 1000% dv B12. You get all that with 150 calories and 38 grams of carbs and sugar. It is sweetened with sugar and dextrose(no HFC here). Ill give them a grade of B- for kick/ingredients

Web Presence:  The site at drinktigerfuel.com is still under construction(come on guys lets get it finished). You won’t find much there at the moment except a store and a link to their Facebook. I will say though that their Facebook page is always up to date and they actually post quite often with all kinds of cool info. This is one of the few companies I know of that really put Facebook to good use. For having a good Facebook presence I’ll give them a grade of C+

Recap:

Ok so I like orange soda and I like energy drinks. This is the best of both worlds. You won’t sacrifice on either one. You get a great tasting orange soda and a nice above energy drink all rolled into one. Even if you are not from SC I suggest you get your hands on this Tiger Fuel. Check it out and let me know what you think.
