Vegas Fuel Sugar Free

Vegas. I don’t any one thing goes better with energy drinks than Vegas. I mean Vegas is all about not sleeping, party all night; repeat it all the next day. There are several Vegas themed drinks out there. Some get it right and others just try to cash in on the name. Those that do not put out a quality energy drink will fall by the wayside. I have heard good things about Vegas Fuel and when I was able to get my hands on their new Sugar Free version I was more than happy to give it a try.
Packaging: The Vegas Fuel I have comes in a 16 oz can. The can is a glossy white. This stark glossy white really stands out among other drinks and is very smooth and clean. I find it very appealing and classy. Around the top you have “Sugar Free” in a small black font and alternately the Vegas fuel website address in red font. Vertical on the front is the Vegas Fuel logo which consists of “Vegas Fuel” in a really cool modern black font with a big red circle behind it. The red circle reminds me of a sunrise or sunset both of which fit the up all night Vegas image. You also have “Energy Drink Experience” in the same font only smaller. The back has supplement facts as well as a paragraph about the drink and the little red sun circle with a silhouette of a dancing girl in it. I give them a grade of A for packaging. I love the clean uncluttered look and the font used just sets it all together.
Slogans: They have one right on the can “Put a little Vegas in you”. Since Vegas is synonymous with energy and staying up I think this works very well. It gets extra points for being specific to the drink name as in you could not use this slogan for any other drink. This shows they put some thought into it. Grade A- for slogan
Taste ect: I had no idea what to expect really. I popped the top and took a sniff, nope not a RB clone at all. The scent is that of a nice sweet fruit punch with no vitamin smell to be found. I pour some in a glass and it comes out a pinkish red color with a medium carbonation. I take a sip and it is fruit punch but not you’re usual fruit punch. This has a more tropical taste with orange, cherry, pineapple, and citrus. It is very tangy and the levels of sweetness in not overwhelming like in a lot of fruit punch drinks. They did a great job with the artificial sweetener in this sugar free version. It really does not taste artificial at all with the Sucralose and Ace K combo of sweeteners. This flavor also make for a great mixer (if your of age) it mixes very well with Vodka. I hear it goes well in a shot with Jagger and I’d think it would work great with Rum also for a cool tropical drink by the pool. Grade A for taste. This is probably the best punch energy drink I have tried to date.
Kick/Ingredients: I drank the can pretty quickly since it was so good tasting (and wished I had another). I waited for about 15 minutes and then I started ramping up my energy level. I was alert and not jittery. My ability to focus was good and if I was in Vegas I would have been ready for a marathon Craps game. I was energized like you might be when the dice are hot and the crowd at the table is getting rowdy and loud. I found myself wishing I was in line for club Pure at Caesars ready to party all night. My buzz lasted around 4 hours and there was no crash since there was no sugar. So what’s in this stuff you ask? 142 mg of Caffeine, 1904 mg of Taurine, 142 mg glurcuonolactone, 96 mg Ginseng, 96 mg Guarana seed extract, 48 mg Inositol, and a fair dose of B vitamins. You get that with 10 calories, 2 grams of carbs, and no sugar. Grade B for kick/ingredients
Web presence: The website at http://www.vegasfuel.com is currently being upgraded since they were recently bought by another company. Still it is pretty nice flash based site with drink info, Mixer recipes, events, photos, and sponsorship info (the sponsor some race cars). It already is on par with a lot of sites so once it is improved I expect it to be even better. They also have a myspace page that is nice and kept up to date. I will give them a B- for web presence.
Recap:
