Living La Viva Loca

Vis Viva energy drink

When I saw the can for the drink I knew I had to try it. It took some work but I got my hands on one to review.

Packaging: Vis Viva comes in a 12oz slim can. The can is a nice red color. For some reason the shade of red used really attracts your attention. There is a little swirly black pattern in the background that looks nice. It’s not a tribal type pattern and is more organic looking. You have the name “VisViva” vertical on the can in black along with the name in white horizontal and overlapping the vertical name. Looks pretty nice the way they laid the name out.  On the front you also have some little carbonation type little bubbles, the drinks slogan, and at the bottom is a little”IQZOL Experience” logo .  On the back you have ingredients and supplement listings. I will give them a grade of B+ for this can. It looks really sharp, mature and professional. Anyone would feel comfortable seen drinking from this can.

Slogans: “Living Force Energy” is the slogan I can pick out from the can. It is a unique slogan that should appeal to a mature and health conscience audience. I will give them a grade of B for slogan. Nice job!

Taste ect:  I was not sure what to expect as far as flavor goes. I have learned that you can’t go by the color of the can though. Would it be cherry or mixed berry? I opened the can and from the scent I could tell it was going to be Raspberry. I pour some in a glass and it comes out a cranberry colored drink with a medium carbonation. I taste some and I get some raspberry, apple, and some green tea type flavor. No green tea in this drink though so I guess you could say it was more of an organic flavor. It is pretty bitter at the finish and not sweet at all. I’d say similar to a Steaz as far as the after taste. I will give them a D for flavor.  You won’t be drinking this for the flavor.

Kick/Ingredients:  Vis Viva is a low calorie drink and that is one of their selling points. There is 15% juice from apple and raspberry juice and no added sugar. It is sweetened with sucralose and Ace K combined to give it a more sugar like taste. It comes in at only 25 calories, 5 grams of sugar and 6 grams of carbs. As for energy ingredients is has 50mg of caffeine, glucuronolactone, Taurine, and lots of B vitamins. It also has Ashwagandha for a calming or relaxing effect.  I got a mid to low level buzz with no jitters and I have to say I also experienced a sense of well being and calmness. I was able to focus easily of work I was doing. The buzz lasted for about 3 hours and there was zero crash. I will give them a grade of C for kick. It was not intense but it would be good for studying or other things requiring concentration.

Web presence:  Vis Viva has a cool website at visvivadrink.com. It is a nice looking flash site. There is some nutritional information as well as some sales pitch type blurbs. I really like the look of the site and think it has potential. There just is not a lot of information there. I will give them a C- for web presence. This is a new drink so when they update the site I will revisit this grade.

Vis Viva is an interesting drink. I think it should work well with a mature health conscience target audience. It may not taste very good but it is healthy and easy on the waistline. Drink one next time you need to get some studying done or maybe have one at work so you can plow through the paper work with out getting jittery.
