Zen and the art of Energy

Zenergize Berry Blend

There are a lot of energy drink mixes popping up at the moment. Some are powders and some are tablets you dissolve. Zenergize is the latter. They make an entire lineup of effervescent tablets for everything from energy to hydration. Being thst this is an energy drink website I will be trying their Berry Blend Energy + today.

Packaging: Zenergize comes in a slim plastic tube. Each tube holds 10 tablets. The tube has a twist off lid. The tube is white and red. Vertical up the front is the name “Zenergize” in a white font. At the top in a dark red section is the flavor “Berry Blend”. There is a grey stripe vertical that reads “Energy +” and “Healthy energy + Antioxidant Boost” in black. There are also some images of assorted berries on the side. The back has nutritional info. Overall it is pretty nice. This design is portable, contains multiple servings, and has a nice mature look. I give them a grade of B- for packaging. I’m not going to say it is exciting but I think it works well for their intended market.

Slogan: On their website I found this. “A healthy boost for everybody”. I think this is exactly what they are shooting for with their variety of drinks. You also could go with “Healthy energy + antioxidant boost” Either way I will give them a grade of B- for slogan

Taste: You have several choices that they lay out of your. Mix with different amounts of water depending on how much flavor you want.  If you mix it in 16 oz of water it is like flavored water. Mix it with 8 oz of water for a stronger flavor. I tried it both ways. I broke the tablet in half so it fits in the mouth of a water bottle. The tablet fizzed up and dissolved completely. The water turned into a maroon colored liquid that was very clear. There was a slight scent of vitamins. I drank it and I really enjoyed it mixed with the 16 ounces of water. It had a light mixed berry taste and really had no bitterness. It was not very sweet and would be great on a jog or at the gym. Mixed with only 8 ounces of water it is a little sweeter but not a whole lot. I’m giving them a grade of B- for flavor. No matter how you mix it, it is not bad. If you don’t like real sweet drinks this is a good choice.

Kick/Ingredients: Each time I drank Zenergize I got a real nice boost that hit fairly quick and lasted a god 4 hours. It had me alert and focused without being jittery at all. I’d say it was on par with a 5 hour energy shot as far as buzz goes. There was no crash at all. Zenergize Energy + is powered by 75 mg of caffeine, Taurine, Glucoronolactone, Ginseng, a load of B vitamins, 1666 % DV of Vitamin C, and Calcium. You get all of this with only 2 calories, .5 grams of carbs, and no sugar. Zenergize is sweetened with Stevia.    This is the kind of buzz you want for a light workout or a day at the office.  Grade C+ for kick/ingredients

Web Presence: The website at bevology.com/energy.html. The site is very professional and I might add bubbly.  The colors and graphics used are well thought out and work well with the whole concept and market.  It seems they are shooting for a health conscience mature market and this website fits well with it.  The site has Product info, News, Where to buy, an online store, and more. You might not want to spend a lot of time here but you will find what you need easily. Grade B- for web presence.

Recap:

I think Zenergize has its ducks in a row as far as the market they are shooting for. The drink is very portable, has multiple servings per tube so it is great to keep at your desk or to keep in your gym bag. The drink is sweetened lightly with Stevia so it is not real sweet or sugary. If you’re looking for a mid level boost with healthy benefits this is a drink you should try.
