My o My what a wonderful day
Zipfizz Orange soda energy drink

I have tried the Zipfizz liquid drinks in the past and found them to be pretty good. I have seen the Zipfizz powders all over the place in grocery and Drugstores and decided I needed to give them a try. I thought I would start out with the Orange Soda mix first
Packaging: Zipfizz powder comes in a very unique little plastic tube. The tube is a couple of inches long and has a little flip up lid. The whole thing is shrink wrapped in clear plastic so the lid stays closed until you take of the wrap. The Orange soda Zipfizz is in an orange colored tube with an orange and yellow label on it. The label reads “Healthy energy” around the top the flavor is below that and the name Zipfizz in vertical up the middle in a white font. There is a little white logo thing on the front as well and the back has supplement. Overall this package has a mature and healthy feel to it. I had it setting on my desk and people kept picking it up so that is a good sign. People saw it and were curious. I like the plastic used and the little flip up lid is unique. I will give them a B+ for packaging. Very unique.
Slogan: “Healthy Energy” That is the slogan and it works well with the market they are going for. Grade B- for slogan Better than average but nothing exciting
Taste: I pop open the little lid and pour the orange powder into a 16 oz bottle of water. It’s like making some kool aid except for the effervescence. It has a nice orange scent and turns the water a dark orange color. I had it as a morning drink and really the flavor reminded me a lot of Tang at the start but then it finished more like an orange soda. It was not overly sweet or acidic and there was no after taste. It made a great morning drink and I will give it a grade of B for taste
Kick/Ingredients: I drank the entire bottle over about a 30 minute period. I was feeling more alert about half way through it and by the time I finished I had a pretty good boost going. It got me awake and moving around. It was a jitter free buzz that lasted a good 4 hours and kept me going through to lunch. Key energy ingredients are 100 mg of caffeine(from guarana), taurine, Grape seed extract, Green tea leaf extract, ginseng, and a massive dose of B vitamins including 41667% dv of B12! Other healthy ingredients are Ginger, Alpha Lipoic acid, Vitamins C and E, Calcium, Magnesium, Zinc, selenium, manganese, and Chromium. You only have 10 calories and no sugar. I will give them a grade of B for kick/ingredients. Not a massive kick but a strong smooth one and very packed with healthy ingredients.
Web Presence: The website at zipfizz.com is pretty nice. It has a bright and cheery feel and look to it. It has plenty of product and ingredient info. It also has news, testimonials, events, company info, and a nice store with drinks and shirts. It is very well laid out and easy to navigate. They have a nice up-to-date Myspace page as well. I will give them a grade of B for web presence.
Recap:
This was my first Zipfizz powder and I was pretty impressed. It has good portability, good taste, a better than average kick, loads of healthy ingredients, and a really nice website. You should be able to find these easily and I think you should give them a try. The orange soda flavor makes a great morning replacement for your coffee and your orange juice all in one drink. I can’t wait to try the rest.
